Discover the Power of Usui Reiki
Usui Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. In this section, we will uncover the principles and benefits of Usui Reiki, explaining how this energy-based therapy can help balance your mind, body, and spirit.
Reiki is a system of healing which is possibly thousands of years old. It is believed that Reiki was first used by Tibetan Buddhist Monks and was later rediscovered in the late 1800s by Mikao Usui.
Usui Reiki is a simple but powerful healing technique that is easily given and received. The words 'Rei' and 'Ki' are thought to originate from Japanese 'Raku-kei' - Raku is the vertical flow of energy and Kei is the horizontal flow of energy through the body.
The word 'Rei' means universal - Reiki Practitioners interpret it as the 'Higher Spiritual Consciousness'
'Kei' is the life force that flows through all living things.
Reiki is different from other systems of healing in that the attunements are an ancient process of tuning the healer's body, both physical and etheric, to a higher vibration, thereby allowing a clear channel for energy to flow. Once this channel has been opened it will remain open for the rest of the healer's life.
To be able to give a Reiki treatment a person must receive an attunement to align their energy channels with Reiki energy.
Reiki energy does not have to be
generated - it is there
Reiki energy does not need to be guided - the person receiving Reiki will be healed as needed
Unwind with Angelic Reiki
Angelic Reiki is a gentle, yet powerful healing modality that works with the highest energies of the Angelic Realm, bringing harmony and balance to your life.
Angelic Reiki is a natural, safe, high frequency, multidimensional system of healing that allows connection through the Angelic Kingdom of Light to the individual's Soul energy, bringing powerful healing.
Angelic Reiki is inclusive in physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health, while targeting the root cause of any issues.
Heal with Hot Stone Massage
Hot Stone Massage is a deeply relaxing treatment that uses smooth, heated stones to warm and loosen tight muscles. Learn more about the therapeutic effects of Hot Stone Massage, how it can ease tension, and promote a sense of tranquillity.
Basalt is a high density volcanic stone with the ability to hold heat while releasing it slowly. Basalt stones are used to massage, and stimulate blood flow.
Positive influences of massage include improved muscle tone and flexibility, soothing and stimulation of nerve endings, improved circulation and lymphatic system, improved digestion and elimination. Hot stones are perceived as a general detoxifying agent for IBS.
A holistic approach to treatment must consider the client's physical, emotional, spiritual, social and mental health.
Varicose veins should not have any pressure applied to them, as this can dislodge blood clots and increase risk of DVT.
Leg muscles are strong and support the full weight of the body. Massaging the thighs can ease tiredness and fatigue, while stimulating the lymphatic system.
As the back is essentially the main supporting structure of the whole body, and with multiple muscle groups at surface and deeper levels, it is evident that massaging the full length of the back will have an overall beneficial effect.
The neck is a particularly vulnerable area; massage should not be performed if the client has had trauma to the neck.
Massaging the arms relaxes the muscle groups and often allows any built-up tension to release itself.
Hot stone massage is not suitable for those receiving cancer treatment. This is due to the risks associated with chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Revitalise with Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage is a rejuvenating therapy that focuses on the head, neck, and shoulders. Discover the origins and benefits of this ancient practice, and how it can alleviate stress, improve circulation, and enhance overall well-being.
Indian Head Massage is based on a traditional system of medicine known as Ayurveda, which has been practiced in India for more than three thousand years, and is becoming increasingly popular in the Western world. The word 'Ayurveda' comes from the ancient Sanskrit language of India, and means 'science of life' or 'knowledge of life'. Ayurveda is a complete healing system with a simple holistic approach to achieving a balance of mind, body and spirit while promoting physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Indian Head Massage is a simple but effective form of massage, and traditionally applied to the head and hair only, giving the hair a healthy shine. Indian mothers massage their children daily until the age of approximately three years, to promote calm and relieve irritability, while enhancing the infant's blood circulation, strengthening the immune system, soothing the nervous system and promoting restful sleep.
The word 'shampoo' is derived from the Indian word 'champi', which means head massage.
Western interpretations of Indian Head Massage include the scalp, face, shoulders, upper back and arms; these are the areas where tension is held. Tension can be caused by poor posture, emotional stress, and increased work-load, including sitting in front of a computer screen for long periods of time.
Clients can remain fully clothed while massage is performed, using a variety of techniques, pressures and rhythms. A treatment will take approximately 45 minutes, and the client is encouraged to sit quietly for approximately 10 minutes after massage is complete.
Indian Head Massage promotes good physical and mental health by helping healthy blood circulation, and clearing the lymphatic system of excess toxins.
On a subtle level Indian Head Massage helps release the 'feel good' endorphins which promote happiness and contentment. Regular massage can also improve the condition of your skin, improve energy levels, balance chakras (energy centres) and provide a general feeling of healing and well-being.
The various different massage movements involved in Indian Head Massage can help relax taut muscles, ease stiffness, stimulate blood circulation, improve the supply of nutrients and oxygen to the brain, improve the production and delivery of white blood cells, reduce risk of infection, and drain away excess toxins. Headaches and eye strain can be relieved, and mobility improved when the stress and tension are massaged away.
Embrace Aromatherapy Massage
Aromatherapy Massage combines the benefits of massage with the use of essential oils to promote relaxation and healing.
Aromatherapy is a holistic healing treatment using natural plant extracts to promote good health and well-being.
Aromatherapy can be combined with other therapies following discussion with the therapist, as potential allergies and dislikes will need to be identified before therapy can be offered.
Experience Crystal Healing
Crystal Healing is a holistic therapy that harnesses the energy of crystals to restore balance and vitality. Crystals can be used with other therapies, including Reiki to help restore balance and well-being.
Crystals interact with our energy fields and chakras, with each crystal vibrating at a specific frequency, helping to realign energy systems or chakras when they are out of balance.
Coloured silks and lights can also be used with crystals and Reiki to promote physical, mental and emotional well-being. It is believed that different colours can affect mood, emotions and general well-being. Using crystals with coloured silks during a Reiki treatment can bring benefits to chakras and energy centres that may have become blocked due to difficult situations and/or illness.
Life Skills Coaching
By our very nature, human beings tend to have a range of plans and goals we wish to achieve in life. For some, those goals are not reached because of interruptions and changes to planning, and because of the ebb and flow of life. We tend to plan for good things but the not so good things can get in the way. The purpose of life skills coaching is to facilitate change via discussion of the client's life, patterns of thinking, considering the client's mindset, and planning for the future. Initially identifying where the client feels they are within the theories of health and wellness helps the client identify how to move from meeting basic needs to reaching their full potential. The client is encouraged to identify any concerns they may have, as it is known that change can be 'scary' but also that people become unhappy when not achieving the change they feel is needed. Life Skills Coaching can help identify the impact of particular stressors, including financial concerns, relationship difficulties, family and domestic responsibilities. For Life Skills Coaching to be effective, it is acknowledged that several sessions will be helpful, and personal change will probably not be achieved from one session.
